  • Know Thy Solar Plexus: Bathing in Authenticity

"We’re now in step 3 of our Manipura love. At this point, we’re about halfway into creating the new habit of setting aside the time each day for focused breathing with our Kapalabhati practice. We’ve also lent some gentleness to ourselves in the form of an apology for our part in personal hardships. Hopefully we’ve gotten deep into or much closer to self-forgiveness as well. This will help that along..."

  • Know Thy Solar Plexus: Addressing the Self

"A common barrier to forgiveness, useful or not, is the absence of apology. I’ve seen one unnerving practice far too many times. You may be familiar; Person A negatively impacting Person(s) B, self forgiving before Person B gets a chance to, or before even offering an apology, telling Person B why they are actually responsible for the lingering hurt, then considering themselves enlightened for moving 'forward'..."

  • Know Thy Solar Plexus: Identifying the Self

"The Solar Plexus, also called the Manipura (city of jewels), is our power center. It is located just above the navel at the vertical midpoint of the body and it governs digestion, our self-identity and internal power. Anything from compromised security (including police brutality and systemic racism), constant exposure to trauma, abuse, IPV , unhealthy relationships and friendships, and even being passed over for an important opportunity can contribute to a damaged sense of self..."

Crystal as a woman is amazing, and as a Yogi just phenomenal. You will leave your session refreshed, renewed, and lighter from the release of negative energy. Yoga is a great practice to make a habit, and Osatyam is where you should begin!!

  • Jasmine Hutchison

If you are looking for an amazing yoga experience then the universe has brought you to the right person! I've thoroughly enjoyed every session I've ever had, Crystal is super sweet and makes sure to cater to one's individual needs.

  • Bianca Campbell

I loved working with Osatyam! Until I moved out the area, I attended a class every Sunday for a year! I just felt understood and that I could go at my pace, in my way-- and still received encouragement. I never felt alone just because I took a break from the flow to go into child's pose for a while. So affirming! Would definitely recommend-- and I plan on moving back AND going again!

  • Park Cannon

This was the most integrative yoga class I have taken. As a dancer of 20 years, yoga can sometimes be hard for me to stay engaged but Crystal kept me motivated and highly intrigued. In fact, I was able to pre-empt movement between poses which felt great! It was a plus that the class happened in a place where I could also scan the titles of feminist theory :)

Crystal is an amazing instructor! With her, my flexibility has increased, and I've fallen more and more in love with my #BlackYogini. She is great in both group and private classes... Can't wait to get back active with Osatyam.

  • Emily Renee Thompson

Finding Yoga after having a baby, Crystal's sessions were easy enough for a beginner to understand yet challenging enough to test limits. She was helpful in demonstrating proper postures and catered to any limitations.

Her beautiful energy evokes positivity, strength, and liberation!

  • Danielle Gilmore

I always leave Crystal's yoga classes feeling invigorated and energized! All body types and practice levels are honored and appreciated and Crystal's energy is always amazing and welcoming. I highly recommend her classes to beginners and experts alike!

  • Andrea Blanton

My two children totally enjoyed their private yoga session. Months later they are still practicing the partner yoga poses you taught them. Thank you for accommodating them and teaching them on their level.
